Grafting junipers has been a very important part of my bonsai learning. Not because I didn’t know how to do it before, but because I wanted to learn how to do it better, faster and, most importantly, more cleanly. We filmed our material about grafting with Mario in 2024, and it was released in 2025. Right after those episodes were published, I went to the nursery and put that knowledge into practice, grafting this juniper and several others. To my surprise, the success rate was really very good. The material in this episode was filmed in June 2026. We return to the same grafts, check the results after one year and take the next steps. And this is exactly what Mario’s Bonsai World is about. The knowledge contained in our episodes has great value, but the most important thing is to put it into practice.
